Can Ofloxacin Eye Drops Be Used Continuously For Two Months?

My daughter has had a stye for two months. She's been using Ofloxacin Ophthalmic Solution, usp, Prednisdone Acetate Ophthalmic Suspension drops, Tobra DEX ointment and Avenova spray. She's been treated by an Optomologist several times and had the stye drained, but the bump is still there and her eye lid looks bruised/red colored. Is it safe to take these drops continuously for over two months?

Hello and welcome to 'Ask A Doctor'. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Two months is more than an adequate length of time to treat an infection along the lid margin(stye). When it has not resolved over weeks to months, it is a non-infected, firm, non-tender mass. It may become painful if it becomes infected again.
I wish I knew the age of your daughter.
I suggest you treat the bump aggressively with hot compresses.(No skin burning allowed.) Five minutes 3-4 times a day. If you don't see improvement in a week, you can consider taking her to a pediatric ophthalmologist.
