Can Obimin, Calcium And Haematinic Capsules Be Taken During Early Pregnancy?

I was been prescribed with haematinic capsule for my daily intake - 1 capsule/day when I went for government clinic for pregnancy checkup. At the same time, I m already been taking obimin and calcium tablets daily for quite sometime as prescribed by private clinic doctor. I am current more than 12weeks pregnant. Should I continue with obimin and calcium only or should I add on with haematinic capsule as well? Please advise.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
I understand your concern.
Vitamins, minerals and iron are essentially required during pregnancy as the requirement goes up. Their supplementation is very much necessary for the optimum development of fetus as well as maintaining mother's health.
Hence, there is no harm in taking these medications and you can continue to take them as prescribed.
Kindly get your regular antenatal check-ups done. Eat healthy and nutritious food. Drink good quantity of fluids.
Hope the information provided would be helpful.
All the best.
