Can Narcan Cause Permanent Memory Loss?
My mom, 78 years old, was in the hospital for back surgery. Post surgery she had to have Narcan administered to her for overmedication from the surgery. Is there any known long-term memory effects from the use of Narcan? My mom is having terrible hallucinations and behavioral issues now that she never had before. Thanks

I really appreciate your concern, if she is 78 years of age then giving narcotic group of drug is not advisable, even antipsychiatric drug may cause numbers of side effect in this age group, geriatric age group it self cause memory related symptoms drug some time jeopardize the condition all the medicines need to give with great care in this age group hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
