Can Lexipro Cause Nausea And Insomnia?

I see that 5 mg of lexipro can cause nausea, insomnia, stomach issues...is there a better medication to take that won t cause these side effects. My daughter was just put on this medicine and she has all those side effects...she goes to the doctor tomorrow so I would like to know what meds she can tAke instead

Lexapro (escitalopram) can cause all the symptoms that you have mentioned. But with the above history, it's not clear why lexapro was prescribed; whether for depression or for generalised anxiety.
If it is for depression, then other similar drugs like fluoxetine, venlafaxine and other drugs can be tried. If prescribed for generalised anxiety, then other class of drugs like alprazolam can be tried but it can have sedation as a side effect.
