Hi,I am Dr. Prabhakar Koregol (Cardiologist). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
So my mom is allergic to wasps and bee stings. I think primarily bees anyways.. her reaction is always lots of swelling and redness but if it gets really bad she gets really tired and I guess her blood pressure drops really low. She went into shock once a few years ago and that doctors told her to never give herself the epinephrine shot because it would help her reaction and to take 3 ibuprofen instead to raise her B.P. Does this sound correct?

Can I Use Ibuprofen For Low BP?
Hello welcome to HCM. I have read your question and understand your concerns. No using 3 ibuprofen drug at a time of acute allergic reaction is totally unacceptable concept. Treatment of allergy is - 1 prevention is better than cure. So avoid allergens. 2 whenever she has allergy antihistamines and steroids are drug of choice. In case of emergency injectables are preferred. So, don t use ibuprofen and consult some qualified doctor who can prescribe proper medication. Thank you. Have a nice day.
