Can I Take Garcinia Cambogia While Taking Methotrexate And Deltacortril?

Can I take garcinia Cambodia while taking Methotrexate and deltacortril. I am taking 10 mgs of methotrexate weekly and 10 mgs deltacortril daily. Is it o-kay to take spirilluna while taking those drugs if I leave two hours after I take drugs. Many thanks Patricia Gaffney

Hello dear,

Garcinia cambogia has been endorsed as an effective weight loss aid, but there are no scientific studies to support it.
However, there have been reports of Liver damage/ Hepatotoxicity following the use of Garcinia.
As you are already taking Methotrexate and Deltacortril, there are chances of drug interaction with Garcinia, which may further aggravate the risk of Liver damage.
So, in my opinion it will be advisable to use Garcinia & Spirulina only after consulting your treating Doctor.
