Can Hydrogen Peroxide Be Used To Clear Blocked Ear?

It s over 2days now my left ear blocked and I am uncomfortable. I am afraid to go see a doctor because the last time I went to see a doctor he used a tool like small plier and nearly killed me. Right now when going to bed I put oil in my ears to soften the wax. I noticed that even g tip won t fit my ear and when I touches my ear it pains. Should I use Hydrogen Peroxide?

Hello dear user!
Welcome to HCM!

Yes there are cases when hydrogen peroxide may be used to clear excessive ear wax but first you have to be sure for two things:

1 - You must be sure there is no infection in your ear
2- You must be sure the ear drum is not damaged

To evaluate these two things you have to consult an ENT doctor and check your ear channel for infection or possible perforated ear drum.

If you have any infections then antibiotics should be taken to cure the infection and blocked ear.
I none of these (infection, perforated eardrum) is found, than you may use hydrogen peroxide AFTER THE OIL, to clear excessive wax.

Take care and all the best for you!
DR ERIOL.
