Can Hydrocodone Be Taken For Pain After Total Knee Repair?

I am recovering from TKR. The Acetaminophen Hydrocodone 10/325 was causing dizziness, nausea, headache and chills dosing 1 tablet every 6 hours. I stopped taking it for 36 hours and started taking Tylenol #4 broken in half prescribed at 2 tablets for 24 hours. The #4 doesn t seem to be blunting the pain. Can I switch back to the Hydrocodone?
