Can HIV Be Contracted Through An Open Wound?

Hello doctor, i m a 24 year old man from malaysia. I had a protected sex with a prostitute few days ago and i m worried sick! I had my pubic hair plucked the day before and i m just curious if hiv could be passed through the cuts and sores. Please help!

I really appreciate your concern, such symptom of hair plucked is not the sign of HIV infection and this is nothing to worry, still it is advisable to get done the test after couple of week, hope this information helps, take care and have a nice day.
