Can HIV Be Contacted Post Fluid Exposure From The Wound Of HIV Positive Person?
I m nurse and exposed to drop of fluid from pt wound to my eye. Pt is HIV positive. This happened six months ago and did not take the anti-viral medication. I had my six month lab drawn this past Saturday for HIV and CBC. I received the results for 4th generation HIV with reflux yesterday and was non-reactive. But now I m really worried since now I got back a result for HIV 2 which also came back non-reactive, but I m pending HIV-1. I m really freaking out and having a panic attack since I worried that I could possibly have HIV-1 since I m still pending the results.
