Hi i have pcos and ever since my doctor prescribed me gluconorm 500 mg i ve gained alot of weight its been 4 months and i ve gone from 64kg to 75.5kg i have changed my diet to eat just healthy food and drink lemon water and moderate exercise. General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

I agree that gluconorm is not known to cause weight gain and it is not likely to be the cause in your case.

The weight gain may be due to a change in diet or metabolism, and I would only recommend continuing to decrease your calorie intake until you begin to lose weight, and staying active to help keep it off.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Aaron Branch, General & Family Physician
