Can Gabapentin Cause Weight Gain?

I take gabapentin 600 mg twice a day for my severe restless leg. I have been taking this for three weeks and my weight has gone from 209 to 224 in this time. Has this caused this and if so, what can I do to get back from 36 waist into my 34 waist jeans I wore two weeks ago.
