Can Enzoflam Be Taken More Than Twice A Day For Severe Pain And Tooth Infection?

I am under RC Rx of Molar with infection and severe pain. Enzoflam BDS prescribed by Dentist. The releif is for about 5 hours only. Can it be taken for more than twice a day and how long? Name Ramesh Lad, Mumbai, India, Age 67, Diabetic borderline, on Losar 50mg once a day and Cardivas3.125 once a day.

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain ENZOFLAM contains PARACETAMOL 500 mg + DICLOFENAC SODIUM 50 mg + SERRATIOPEPTIDASE 15 mg and is an anti inflammatory painkiller and help in relieving mind to moderate pain..

A third dose of this medicine can be taken in case of pain but if you have severe pain you can switch on to other more potent painkillers like TRAMADOL or KETOROL DT as they help in relieveing moderate to severe pain..

Other thing I would like to tell you that in case if you have so much pain when root canal treatment is going on, in that case you should consult your dentist back and ask him to clean the root canals again as it shows that there is still some vital nerve tissue in the root canals or there is pus still present below the root tips of the tooth causing pain..

In both conditions pain will persist, so to get relieved cleaning of root canals followed by antibiotics and painkillers will provide relief..
