Can Combiflam Be Taken Along With Ultracet For Pain In Tooth?

HI, I have just started root canal treatment for my tooth and today just completed three sitting. but since morning my tooth is paining and had also taken medicine Ultracet but its not working. Can I take again Combiflam right away as Ultracet medicine had taken two and half hours before. Please suggest.

Can understand your concern..

As per your complain Combiflam contains Ibuprofen and Paracetamol while Ultracet contains Tramadol and Paracetamol..

Ultracet contains tramadol which is a more effective pain reliever than Combiflam...

You can take Combiflam atleast after 3 to 4 hours but I would suggest you that if root canal is being done and after 3 sittings also you have severe pain then you should consult your dentist back and get checked for wHat is the cause of pain..

It seems you still have underlying infection which is causing pus formation and pressure built up which is causing you pain and when the filling is done after that there leads to severe pain which is even not subsided by painkillers..

You would also need antibiotics to clear up the infection along with painkillers as painkillers can only reduce pain and cannot clear off infection.

I would suggest you to consult an ENDODONTIST to get evaluated and proper treatment.
