Can Cerelle And Norethisterone Be Taken Together?
Hi, I m currently on the mini pill- cerelle, I have had bleeding for 3 months and my current doctor was reluctant to change my pill so soon after starting Cerelle. They suggested I take Norethisterone as I am going on holiday in the next couple of days to stop the bleeding. Although she never said anything about stopping the cerelle whilst I took the norethisterone. Is this correct to carry on with the cerelle whilst taking the norethisterone?

You do not need to take norethisterone to postpone your periods while on mini pill. The mini pill which contains progesterone, can be taken continuously until the day you need the periods to be postponed. After that discontinue the mini pill and you will start bleeding in 4 to 5 days.
