Can Benadryl And Melatonin Be Given Together To A Toddler?
Is it okay to give my 2yr old 2.5mg of benadryl with 0.5mg of melatonin? He has been very congested and gave him benadryl tonight as directed by his pediatrician but still having trouble sleeping. Can I give him 0.5mg of melatonin after giving him benadryl?

Let me tell you that both melatonin and diphenhydramine (Benadryl) cause drowsiness.
So while there is no harm in giving Benadryl along with melatonin, it will enhance the sedative effect of these medicines and your child will feel more drowsy.
