General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
I can understand your concern regarding use of Bactrim and Macrobid together.
Let me tell you that there has not been any drug interaction between Bactrim and Macrobid.
You can take Macrobid if your doctor has prescribed it.
I'd like to add that it is better to get a drug sensitivity test done along with urine culture. It gives the doctor choice to select a better antibiotic.
Hope my answer helps.
Feel free to ask another question.
Thanks,
Dr.Prabhas Verma
