Can B-12 Injections Increase Blood Glucose Levels?

I have a question, I have been taking a b-12 shot and today I had blood work done and was told that my glucose (fasting ) number was 109. Now I had a physical back in march of this year and my numbers were fine. I am concerned as the b-12 gives me energy. I have been eating a lot of sweets and carbs as I just returned from vacation. I am wanting to know if it is possible that the b-12 has increased my level?

Hello,
B12 injections can not result in increase in your blood sugar levels.
It has occurred because of excessive consumption of sweets and refined carbs and junk foods.
A level of blood sugar ( fasting ) between 100 and 126 is a Pre diabetic stage and hence you must be careful to take strict dietary control measures along with proper daily aerobic exercises for 45 minutes a day and reduction of your weight to be in your normal range of BMI,so to avoid development of frank diabetes in future.
Thanks
