Can Arthritis Medicine Be Discontinued Without Doctor's Advice?
HI ; I'M 26 yrs old female.BEFORE 5 years i had complaint of arthritis and had medicine for 6 mths and then discontinue without any advise,i want to know whether to continue the medicine or not as i don't have any complaint.but sometime i hv slightly shoulder pain.can you suggest me for the betterment of my health.
Good evening mam. Well there are many variants of arthritis, with some of them being self limiting( like the one who will disappear after few months and may not occur again)and some are persistent. I am not sure which one you had and if there is a chance for it to come back again. Little more details about the diagnosis and we could comment on it. Only shoulder pain can be due to mechanical cause like overusing, or due to wrong posture. You can get it checked once just to be sure it s not inflammatory( from your history doesnt sound so). May not be too worry some. You can take vitamin D and calcium for betterment of your bones and health. Hope this was useful
