Can Anabuse Cause Sunburn Like Rashes On Body?

My 22 year old son came home from work with a rash on his stomach, hands, feet, legs, groin (pretty much everywhere except his face). The rash looks like a sunburn - no raised bumps or lesions. No breathing problems. No fever or other symptoms other than a mild headache. He took two Benadryl about an hour ago with no change to the rash. He started a new medication four days ago (Anabuse). He also takes Lamictal, Lexapro, and Gabapenten. His sister is currently being treated for a viral infection. Could he be having a reaction to the new medication, a combination of the medications, or could he also be fighting the virus?

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM

He is on LAMOTRIGINE, ESCITALOPRAM, Gabapentin and Antabuse (Disulfiram). He has developed rashes on his stomach, hands, feet, legs etc and are not responding to treatment. Out of these medicines Lamotrigine is known to result in serious rash and reaction and this may lead to Stevan Johnsons syndrome. It may be a serious emergency. I would advise you to report to his psychiatrist immediately and get him examined to rule out drug induced rash. If possible talk to his doctor and stop lamotrigine if possible.

Thanks, hope this helps you.
