Can Amlodipine And Lisinopril Be Taken Together For Lowering Blood Pressure?
I am taking 5mg of amlodipine and was raised up from 10mg to 20mg of Lisinopril, why do I need to take 2 blood pressure medicine and why raise the Lisinopril and not the amlodipine---please dismiss my question; I do not have that kind of money, I am retired and living off of $900 a month paying for apartment and utilities.....thank you ---I will just call and have my doctor explain it to me for free
Lisinopril is a better tolerated drugs and preferred one in elderly. High dose of Amlodipine can cause side effects like swollen feet on long-term use. Nothing much to worry and your treatment is in the right track.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Shinas Hussain,
