Can Ambien Cause Sudden Black Out For Some Time When Awake?
I had a black out last night where I lost 1.5 hours that I can not remember. My husband and daughter said I was acting very strange. I took an ambien, which I do twice a week along with my regular meds. I am 55 years old and take bop and racing heart meds. Going to my Cardiologist. (Good timing) in the morning, but want to know if this sounds more like heart vs ambien. Can ambien while awake cause this sort of issue?

You need to have other causes checked out but ambien can cause this type of reaction. It is called retrograde amnesia. Please get off the ambien if possible
