Can Alive Once Daily Multivitamin And Metformin HCL Be Taken Together?
Hi, my name is Larry Applebaum and I just recently purchased Alive once daily Men s 50+ ultra potency vitamins, and on the bottle it said not to take before consulting a healthcare professional if taking medicine for diabetes. I am taking Metformin HCL ER 500 MG tablet once in morning with breakfast. Is there any harm in taking these vitamins that have a lot of minerals as well as herbs with Metformin. Thanks

Hi,
Metformin can cause subnormal vitamin B12 levels. Hence multivitamin can be justified. Better to take your diabetologist in confidence as this preparation contains a no of herbs, many doctors not well versed with.
