Blood Clot Near Bladder, Low BP And Anemia After Mesh Removed From Bladder. Can Surgery Be Done To Remove Clot ?
my sister had a mesh removed from her bladder two weeks ago. a week later she went to ER and was admitted to find out that she has a blood clot (near bladder wall large as a peach), low blood pressure 90/60 and anemia. Her dr told her today she can go home and hopefully watch for the clot to go down by itself. My sister has a pain pump and is very upset to hear that the clot is not able to be drained since it is now jell-o. Why can't the dr the perform surgery to remove the blood clot, so my sister can hopefully get out of pain and start the healing process?
Hello, The removal of bladder mesh done 2 weeks ago. Indication for removal? There are lots of complications with a bladder mesh like erosion, perforation and infection. The blood clot you are mentioning may be from a bleeding point. The anemia, fall of BP may be due to the bleeding. The bleeding point has to be evaluated immediately before dislodging the clot. If the clot is dislodged she may bleed more. Consult a Urologist and act immediately. Best wishes.
