Blisters On Child's Feet. Diagnosed Hand, Mouth And Foot Disease. Possible Cause And Treatment?

my grandbaby has little clear blisters on her feet notice it yesturday and took her to the doctor he said she had hand mouth and foot disease she hasnt been sick at all and blisters are clearing up today i got her a pair of used shoes was wandering if that could have caused them i am a bad diabetic and have her all the time preety much 7 days a wk and i feel fine the computer saids its verry catchy and when she kisses grandma she slobbers all over me but shes presiouse was wandering if this doc could be wrong

Hand foot and mouth disease is a common childhood illness.
It rarely occurs in adults.

It is associated with the blisters like you have described on the feet. They can also been seen on the hands and sores in the mouth.

It is not usually associated with any significant sequelae.

As you mentioned,it is contagious , it is transmitted by contact with nasal and throat secretions, stool and contact with the blister fluid.

You can reduce your risk of disease by frequent handwashing, disinfecting surfaces and avoiding kissing/hugging.
