Are There Any Side Effects Of Taking Regestrone Tablet?

I am 47 years old and I have had regular periods. But this month it is delayed for more than 15 days. My pregnancy shows negative results. I have been suggested to take regestrone tablet. Are there any side effects after taking the tablet. Have been advised to take 1-1-1 for 3 days.

OBGYN, Maternal and Fetal Medicine 's  Response
Hi,

Regesterone tablet can further delay your periods, I would suggest you to start medroxyprogesterone tablet two tablets for five days, also there may be a thyroid abnormality so I would suggest you to have a thyroid profile test done as early as possible.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
