Are Steroids The Right Treatment For Ankylosing Spondylitis?
I am suffering from ankylosing spondilytis in advance stage. I had been taking medicines for 3 years named Sazo 1gm, Hydroxychloroquine sulphte- 400Mg, Zuvimide 100 Mg and Razo D. two months ago my Hb falls to 5.3 gm then I Have been hospitalysed for 10 days in Mumbai and now it was recovered to 10 gm, but still my main disease remains for which doctor hematologist. who treated me for hb prescribed some medicines which include steroid medicine. I have been taking steroid medicine 10 mg daily. I want to know that is steroid is safe for me to take for a long time and is it will treat my disease. pl. advice me for my treatment what can I do further.
Your kind of diseases is treated with low dose steroids only, you have to take steroids to keep pain away and be under treatment with hematologist also so that he help you to maintain good iron levels.
