Are Seizures In A Toddler Completely Curable?

Hi My daughter is 3 yrs old and she had some seizure attacks when she was a year old and we consult with a neurophysician in EEG report it showed up doctor recommended her levipil srup twice aday 5 ml want to know the side effects and can sezuire is curable as doctor says yes but i have read its not completely curable please suggest ? my daughter also got problems like skin irritation or tummy upset.

Hello,

Seizures can occur due to various reasons, in children commonly due to high grade fever. You have not mentioned the details regarding the onset of it. As the EEG reports are suggesting it to be of a specific type and as per that your doctor has suggested the medicine. Adverse effects of the medicine are observed initially, if you observe something unusual then see your doctor again and explain it. If the medicine is taken as per the doctor’s advise for the said duration it is curable. So do not worry and do as per your doctor says.
