Are Red Splotches Above The Ankles Due To The Socks?

friday I wore ankle socks with my shoes and at the end of the day i had red splotces on my skin above my ankles, the socks werent xtremely tight the redness stayed there overnight but the next day I wore shoes with no socks and walked all day with no problems Could it really be just the socks

Hello

Since those splotches appear after wearing socks and disappear by taking them off and you didn't find those splotches in another part of your body, that means you have an allergic reaction to the type of the product that socks is made of.
You should avoid the contact with that product and notice if you have any allergic reaction to other substances to avoid them.
If the symptoms reappear and became more severe you may need an anti-histamine medication.
