Are Red Rashes On The Legs And Arms Symptoms Of Flea Bites?

For a couple of days now I get these painless red circles, not raised, on my legs and arms. They appear anywhere at random and typically vanish within a few minutes and never come back. I have no other symptoms. I do have a some flea infestation in my home, lots of pets, and was wondering if these could possible be flea bites? They don t itch and turn into normal skin color when I press on them.

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

It seems that most probably you may be having lichen urticatus. It s a hypersensitivity to insects bite. Consult the dermatologist for the perfect diagnosis and proper treatment. However, you may take antihistaminics and oral steroid in tapering doses. Apply Calamine lotion. Keep away from insects and pets.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
