General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

Going to a rheumatologist may be the better option if the rash does not resolve.

It is important to remember that rashes can occur with viral illnesses such as the ' stomach flu.' This is called viral exanthem. The rash normally resolves along with or soon after the other symptoms.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Michelle Gibson James
