Are "protheaden" And "topaz 100" Helpful In Treating Depression?

Hello, Dr. Abhijeet My friend is taking following medicines for depression from last 8 years Protheaden/Oleanz Valance OD XET CR Tryptomer Topaz 100 Amixide In diff combinations & am not able to get a clear picture about her health from.her doctor!! Can U plz guide me, what condition she.might be in!? Thank you Mohan

Hi Mohan,

It is not possible to infer the diagnosis from the list of medicines she is on as each of these medicines can be used in more than one type of disorder. Her doctor was not very informative probably because of the need to maintain patient confidentiality. Many times patients end up being stigmatized because of their mental illness. Hence, doctors avoid disclosing information to people who are not immediate family.
