Are Pain While Breathing And Severe Cough Indicative Of Bronchitis?
I ve been coughing really bad and I feel like I can t breathe.... My psych doctor said it was bronchitis like last week , but it s not getting better.... I have cough variant asthma.... I only get it when I get sick... I don t have a fever , but it hurts like hell to take any little bit of air in or out and my cough sounds really meaty...
Hi thanks for asking question. Here you are saying you have asthma. Here the possibilities is that you have getting infection of respiratory tract either bacteria or viral. Because of infection your asthma is getting precipitated and difficult breathing. First do your complete blood count examination. If more lymphocytes possibilities of viral and if more neutrophils then bacterial infection. But still if eosinophils comes high it can be purely allergic condition. For relief from dyspnea nebeulization with levosalbutamol and budesonide will be helpful. If viral infection treat it symptomatic. For bacteria antibiotic needed. After getting recovered do your pulmonary function test to confirm asthma like obstructive dz, and if needed metered dose inhaler with steroid for maintainance might needed. For allergic condition monteleukast or antihistaminic drugs useful. I hope my suiggestion will help you.
