Hello,

Extra-pulmonary tuberculosis is non-contagious. But if accompanied with fever & cough, they need to be aggressively treated.

Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis & the mode of spread is an airborne infection (sneezes, coughs, spits, speaks, etc).

Both contagious & non-contagious tuberculosis should be treated with the full course and follow-up treatments should also be done.

You should get anti-TB therapy at the earliest as it is a life-threatening disease.

If neglected the TB lymphadenitis & abdominal TB may spread to the other organs or to the other nodes causing large lymph nodal masses via the hematogenous route of transmission.

Get the therapy done, get the symptoms under control, Take nutritious food & do regular exercises.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
