Are Itching And Cloudy Eyes Normal After Taking Amlodipine 5 Mg?
Thank you just started amlodipine 5 mg been on it three weeks and have just come back from a fortnights holiday in Florida apart from the jet lag which I am used too I am really itchy and my eyes feel really cloudy is this normal thank you Mrs Margaret Williams
I find it hard to believe that what seems to be an allergic reaction, occurred 3 weeks after initiating the drug. Most allergic reactions occur soon after contact with the inciting factor or up to 1 week later. Sometimes drug allergy may occur even after successfully using the drug in the past but this a rare event.
If no allergen can be identified and you have no past history of eye allergy then you should visit an ophthalmologist and try stopping the drug for a few days and starting it again, after the symptoms have subsided.
You can contact me again, if you'd like more information. I'll be glad to help!
Kind Regards!
