Are Irritated Throat, Cough And Hot Face After Bleaching The Hair A Cause For Concern?

just bleached my hair. I ve done it before. I didn t have any problems until I showered. I ve have a little irritation now in my throat and can t take deep breaths without coughing. I do not have asthma. I do have allergies and my skin is a little sensitive to bleach but not horribly. My face and head are really hot too, I ve put the a/c on to cool myself down. When should I be worried and attend an emergency hospital?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello
As you know that you are sensitive to bleach ,so need not to worry.
This is a reaction to bleach but take care in future because if serious reaction will take place may turn skin into black color .
So , at present there is not a cause of concern. , no need of any emergency consultation .
Hot allergy itching and redness , all are due to bleach reaction.
You can take one levoceterizine 5 mg at a time ,if more then take prednisolone 10 mg .
Not more than 2 tablets .
Good luck.
