Are Food Allergies Normal After Recovering From A Reaction To Pneumonia Vaccine?
I m a 56 yr old woman who had a bad reaction to a pneumonia vaccine that lasted 2 weeks (swollen arm with red rash from the top of my shoulder down to my elbow, fever, feeling sick, and pain lasted for 2 weeks. Exactly 2 months later-I developed severe allergies with anaphylaxis to beef/pork. Blood tests show not IgE mediated. Skin tests positive for beef/pork. I ve also gone on to develop the same severe allergy to milk and nuts and coconut but not coconut oil. Do you think the vaccine reaction was caused by my getting too much adjuvant which may have damaged my immune system? Never had foos allergies before.
If you have one allergic reaction, you are more prone to develop other allergic reaction also. You can take an antihistamine like cetrezine or pheniramine for symptomatic relief.
