Are Dark Skin, Exhaustion And Lethargy Side Effects Of Stanlip?

hello doctor .my mother has been advised to use stanlip and benetic a by the doctor and has been using for years . she suffers from exhaustion,feels tired and lethargic and also developed skin problems the skin on her hand is becoming dark. i think it is due to side effect of stanlip. can she discontinue

Welcome to HCM. Sorry to hear about the side effects. Yes the stanlip which has fenofibrate will cause muscle aches, tiredness and elevated liver enzymes, it may cause a rash as well, now the darkening of the skin could be because of bilirubin elevation. At this time you probably need to have your blood work checked especially your CPK, Liver enzymes and change to another lipid lowering drug. I hope this helps. Good luck.
