Are Constant Left-sided Chest Pain And Fainting Symptoms Of Status Epilepticus?

My primary physician, said the 4 day continuous (left arm and hand only, chest pain, along with other effects) tingles was extreme anxiety due to my seizures. (now very minimal). My seizures were originally just like fainting. But then i was scared to start the anti convulsant medicine prescribed (i hadn t had a seizure for over a year). Then 2 weeks ago i had this weird fit where i started off conscious(i wrote down all the symptoms i had afterwards because i knew id forget),then i gradually blacked out and after a short time i came to and then got maybe a minute to rest and had another (very short and not nearly as intense) before it was over. I was tired, and all. I was ok afterwards besides aftershocks and the usual aftermath, just crankier, and more tired, and then led the fateful day where the arm spasms happened. But then i read about status epilepticus, im nervous, and i know my general physician told me about self diagnosing with the major anxiety and all but having seizures that CHANGE in type,(by the way my neuro never explained ANYTHING to me, not what to do, or what i might expect, i had to push my regular dr to give me answers(which she didnt know much about because it wasnt her area of expertise. Which i understood.) But im so lost. Is there a worry for status epilepticus and how can i tell?

Hi,

As per your experience of seizures, which you hadn't for 1 year, it might be status epilepticus or maybe another one. But conscious between two episodes may indicate towards status epilepticus.

If your doctor isn't expertise then you should contact neurologist nearby. because neurologist can give you better treatment and diagnosis also.

But don't let it be simple, you should consult a neurologist as early as possible and start treatment as per advice. Epilepsy episodes can be dangerous sometimes.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
