Are Blurry Vision And Facial Skin Tightness Signs Of TIA?

My husband is 71 and two times has suffered blurry vision, tightening of all facial and scalp skin, numbness in left hand and foot. Today I took him the the local E R and after tests were completed no sign of stroke, but could he have had small strokes T I A s that did not elevate his heart enzymes.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

It could be a TIA but sometimes even if its a bigger stroke it doesn't show in CT if done with 3hrs of the sings, so it is always adviced to repeat CT after 3 hrs of the attack.

Heart enzymes are not always elevated in stroke or TIAs but yes can be if any pre-excisting heart condition. Anti platelets and anti lipids are recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
