Are Bloating And Gastric Normal Post Intake Of Misoprostol?
I was diagnosed with a missed miscarriage last week. I was almost 9 weeks pregnant and the baby stopped growing at 7 weeks. I was given a dose of misoprostol (400 mcg to take vaginally 4x) I had some cramping and bleeding but have passed very little tissue. This was 2 days ago. I now feel bloated and gassy. Is this a normal side effect. I follow up with my Dr later this week but am hoping for some immediate relief of the bloating and gassy
Hello dear Understand your concern Yes bloating and gassy are the normal side effect of the misoprostol. It will goes of in 3-4 days. You can take ranitidine, mucaine syrup and ginger capsule. Take proper rest and take healthy diet with iron & vitamin supplements.
If you have excessive bleeding, fever, excessive cramp then immediately consult the gynecologist. Post pill USG is must to check the retain product. Hope this may help you
