General Surgeon 's  Response
Hi,

Usually, intravenous antibiotics for heavy urinary tract infection are based upon the culture sensitivity report of the urine examination.

Without the availability of the report, I can surely say that this combination has a wide spectrum of coverage for urinary tract pathogens to give best results in conditions associated with reflux as VUR and others.

In my clinic, I recommend undertaking a regular periodic evaluation of the patient for vitals and urine output to check the recovery.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Bhagyesh V. Patel, General Surgeon
