Are Prednisone And Levaquin The Correct Medication For Pneumonia?

I was diagnosed with walking pneumonia 2 weeks ago. Given a course of prednisone and levaquin as an antibiotic. I am through with both and don t feel 100%. I see my doctor this evening. Are there questions I should ask? Is this the strongest antibiotic out there or could he prescribe something different? Hoping hospitalization is not an option.

Hi welcome to the health care magic

For pneumonia antibiotic given as first line therapy....

But as you have not improvement, so rather than prescribing empirical antibiotic it is better to do your sputum examination and culture and according to that suitable medication given

If sputum showing fungal hyphae than fluconazole like antifungal medication needed .

Take care

Consult physician for examination and than after examination it can be decided whether hospitalization needed or not
