Are Cephalexin And Ciprofloxacin An Alternate Medicine For Flucloxacillin?
im looking for an alternative to fluclox.... ihave a histoiry of infections for staph aureous 62. 98 kg otherwise ingood health ive had a boil on my leg which has mostly gone but it looks looks the infection wont go away by itself ive had a temp though this ok now... the histiry ive had with staph has given symtoms like this before andive also had a bone infection from this12 yrs ago (that was fixed by fluclox) alternatives suggested Cephalexin and Ciprofloxacin (i can get this )
If it looks like you have an abscess, it may need to drain before it heals. You can try putting a warm cloth on it 4 times a day to help it to drain, but if that doesn't work it may need to be cut open.

Hello, If the staph aureus you had was able to be treated with flucloxacillin, then it is not a resistant form of the bacteria. There are multiple options for treating this, including Dicloxacillin, Cefadroxil, Cephalexin, and Clindamycin. Cephalexin would be a good choice. If it looks like you have an abscess, it may need to drain before it heals.
