Applied Ice And Taken Benedryl After Getting Stung. Safe Dosage Of Steroid Shot?

I have been stung by 3 yellow jackets. I m not anaphalactic shock allergic but definitely a local reaction( didn t used to) last time this happened I was stung by 2 I went to urgent care. I ve washed them, iced them and took a benedryl . They gave me a steroid shot. My question is that I have steroids from a regimen for my autoimmune. I don t really want to drive out to urgent care again. What is a safe dosage? They are 10 mg

hi
probably you got a shot of short acting steroid, which is a recommended treatment in this condition and an absolutely safe measure. a single dose is sometimes lifesaving and don't usually cause any side effect . But be careful, repeated sting may cause increasingly severe reaction. stay cautious.
best of wishes.
