Any Suggestion For Having 2+ Protein In UA When Having Diabetes/lymphedema/poor Circulation?
My daughter has Turner Syndrome she has horseshoe kidneys 2 weeks ago she had a UA done and it showed trace protein then a week later did another UA and I d showed 2+ she is high risk for diabetes she has Lymphadema and poor circulation so what is your opinion?
As per your query, you have proteinuria, 2+, it indicates onset of microvascular complications.
It does not imply that you are having kidney disease. But it is a marker of whole of microvascular complications like nephropathy, neuropathy and retinopathy.
Hence it is advised to get usg of kidney done, ruleout hydronephrosis.
Secondly it is advisable to start statins and ACE inhibitors.
Thanks
