Any Reason Why I Must Not Take Paxil?

Upcoming facial surgery. Have taken Paxil (or similar drugs) for many years and well as Trazadone for sleep. Will be taking Percocet only for a couple of days post-surgery. I will not be taking the Trazadone while on Percocet. Any reason why I must not take Paxil?

Hello,

You are suggested to discuss your past history & past illnesses with your Surgeon. Percocet is a combination medicine used to treat moderate to severe pain. Since you have been taking Trazodone which works to control depression, anxiety, insomnia, etc. You have been taking Paxil, Paroxetine, which is also used to treat depression, anxiety, etc.

You should keep your surgeon informed.If you quit taking certain medicines all of a sudden, it may result in withdrawal symptoms & discomfort. If your Surgeon finds it necessary he can help you detox.
