Am I Pregnant With Delayed Periods In Spite Of Taking Birth Control Pill?
sir i am very upset, i have an unprotected sex with my boy friend after it i took unwanted 72 within 24 hr. My priod should be on 21 of march but i am slitt waiting for it. i am suffering A small pain like priod time but there is no priod. There may chnces for being pregnant while i have eaten the tablet. I do not want to pregnant what should i do plz guid me on my mail id YYYY@YYYY Plz plz

It is normal to have irregular or delayed periods after taking emergency contraceptive pills like unwanted 72 due to hormonal imbalance. If you missed your menses by seven days, get your a home urine pregnancy test done to rule out pregnancy.
If negative you can wait for one more week for spontaneous onset of the periods. If you still do not get your periods, then it is better to do an ultrasound of the uterus to look for other causes of delayed periods.
To get the withdrawal bleeding Progesterone may be prescribed by your gynecologist. On the other hand, unwanted 72 is not full proof, but it is fairly effective. There are 10% chances of pregnancy even if you had taken unwanted 72 following unprotected sex.
If the pregnancy test is positive, your gynecologist will advise you the methods of termination of pregnancy, provided the pregnancy should be within seven weeks duration and it should not be an ectopic pregnancy.
