5 Year Old Child, Dots On Face, Mark In Eye From Blood Vessels, Tiredness, Nose Bleeding. Recommendations?

my 5 year old brother got sick a week ago. The blood vessels in his face all popped and put dots on his face. He no longer has a fever, but he is still tired all the time. The blood vessel in his eye popped and put a big red mark in his eye even though he didn't throw up or anything. His appetites always been small but is getting smaller. He has to be forced to eat anything. He got to choose icecream, cake , and eggs today for dinner and instead of eating he just looked at it and cryed and layed his head in my lap.He also gets nose bleeds a lot. Should he get bloodwork done?

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi:
Usually petechiae (red spots on the skin) are not significant as long as they are from the neck up, and appear after vomiting or very strong cough. The fact that he has not vomited, and has frequent nose bleed deserves an evaluation by a physician as soon as possible, and blood works needs to be done. He may have low platelets or even a more serious condition.
