4 Year Old, Sore Throat, Cough, Less Talkative, Stammering. Shall I Give Alkaline Syrup? Recommendations?
Dear doctor
1. my doughter is 4 years old..she got sowthrought last three days.docter gave a syrup named Augmantin.now its well.yersterday she got cough(dry) and she has some called olso. please kindley tell me shall i give Alaline syrup for that.
2. Other Question is my doughter is not much talkative.some time she is stammering some words.please kindely tell me what should i do.she is going to nursary.

the cough at present will be inflammatory so any antiinflammatory will do.i usually prescribe syp cetzine according to weight of child.encourage your child to speak more and reward her when she does not stammers but dont punish her if she fails.she has reached the age when if stmmering present in a child s speech therapist can be consulted.
